Steps
- Heat the oven to 375F and butter an 8-inch square baking dish.
- In a big bowl, stir together the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, maple syrup, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour the wet mix into the dry and stir to combine. Fold in most of the blueberries, saving a handful for the top.
- Pour everything into the dish, spread it level, and scatter the saved berries over the surface.
- Bake 35 to 40 minutes, until the top is golden and the center is set when you press it.
- Let it rest 10 minutes so it firms up, then slice and serve warm. A drizzle of extra maple is nice on top.
