Steps
- Boil the spaghetti in well-salted water, stopping two minutes shy of the package time. Scoop out a mug of the cooking water before you drain.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion and cook until soft, about 2 minutes.
- Pour in the passata, cream, milk, parmesan, basil, and stock powder. Stir until the cheese melts, then simmer for 2 minutes and salt to taste.
- Add the drained pasta and toss for a minute or two until the sauce clings to the strands. Loosen with a splash of the reserved water if it gets too thick.
- Serve right away with extra parmesan and parsley on top.
